Digital transformation in practice: Our contribution to the panel discussion at SMEs GO DIGITAL

On Friday, the conference "SMEs GO DIGITAL – Digital Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises" was held at the premises of the Paneuropean University "APEIRON" in Banja Luka, along with the Fourteenth International Scientific Conference on Economic Development and Living Standards – EDASOL 2024. The conference was organized by the Development Agency of the City of Prijedor "PREDA," with the support of project partners: the association "Cluster DRVO-PD" and the Paneuropean University APEIRON. Our operational manager, Maja Pejaković, participated in a panel discussion titled "Enhancing Company Performance through Digital and Business Transformation – Innovations, Reactive and Creative Behavioral Models of Manufacturing Companies, and Creating Additional Value." On that occasion, she shared our company's experiences in the process of digital transformation in production, from specific challenges to achieved benefits, emphasizing the importance of adapting to modern technological solutions for sustainable growth and development. Digital transformation is our reality, no longer a glimpse into the future, and it represents one of the key ways to increase efficiency in production. Instead of being passive observers of the rapidly unfolding changes, it is important that we approach them proactively. Although new technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics, bring a certain degree of uncertainty, they are primarily tools that can significantly enhance work processes. Their responsible application does not replace people, but rather opens up space for the development of new knowledge and skills. Companies that successfully align technological potentials with the competencies of their employees will be among those that achieve a competitive advantage in the long run.
